Reading like crazy Choko :) Few book at the same time :) Just finished Agatha Christie's novel and have 5 other books started (3 in English, 2 in my own language)! Madness :)

Up to Amanvah & Sikvah's reunion with Inevera... (view spoiler)[So glad that Renna took the Children in hand. I had totally forgotten that part, and thought it would get a lot worse before it got better. I'm still not entirely letting my guard down...

I hated the scenes with Stella and Briar--that felt like rape--even if Briar didn't seem to mind after, he wasn't exactly aware of what was happening when she started.

As for Hasik & Amman--*shudder*. I don't think Amman is "getting what he deserves" Choko, but I do think all of the Sharum who are being gelded by Hasik are... I am impressed by how Amman is able to keep his mind with all the torture Hasik puts him to, and I hope that Inevera somehow gets him help...

Part of me is wondering why they don't bring the Warded Children with them on their fight to the Core... though I get not wanting to babysit in enemy territory, it seems like one solution--point them at the enemy and take them away from the allies... but they probably wouldn't be any good at the sneaky parts. No, they are like a bull at a china shop... And I still don't trust them... I have a hard time trusting any addicts, except that they would do anything to get their drug of choice... Screw anyone who gets in their way!

So true... I'm up to Leesha & Co infiltrating Milne (view spoiler)[So much of this book I don't remember... probably because I only read it once when it came out, and I think I read the other books at least twice.

There was a line Arlen had when partaking of the holy couscous--something about him not believing in the creator, but respecting religion because at least it had a code of right and wrong, which is more than most people. I thought it was a nifty way to look at things. I just wish that the code of right or wrong actually kicked in for more folk--it seems like a lot of the more fervently bigoted people do so in the name of religion. (hide spoiler)]

Aaaand between starting this post and finishing it, I also finished the book. Yay!

Honestly, with all the kids rolling around in the end, and (view spoiler)[the power of Leesha's child's destiny (hide spoiler)] it makes me even more excited for reading the new book/series--The Desert Prince. I'm also very curious to see how the world has evolved in the aftermath of the ending.

I'm glad that (view spoiler)[the dread I had about the Warded Children didn't come to fruition. Instead, they were the turning point in Leesha's plan to save Milne. Whew! But will they play into the new series? (hide spoiler)]

Probably won't be up for starting the new book for a while--I want to read the hardcopy and I'm a bit booked up for a bit.
