Unique new perspective on Mahabharata

The new fictional novel Janya Bharata: The War takes a new and unique perspective on the epic Mahabharata. Its a novel written from a perspective of a commoner and his tribe who get pulled into the Kurukshetra war.
Most of the books around Mahabharata have been written around the Royal characters mentioned in the epic. This new novel takes a totally different take on it.

What was happening to other people in the Bharata varsha/Indian Subcontinent when the Kurukshetra war was happening? How did the war affect their life? The novel looks at this from a commoner's perspective. Janya Bharata is a commoner's epic.
