Swinging her leg over the other for the twelfth time in a row in the last thirty minutes, since her legs kept falling asleep, a girl with her masked face sat looking over notes from class. This room would be empty if she was correct for another half-hour, giving her a chance to study, along with simply being alone.
"If Cicuta Maculata and Atropa Belladonna were to combine, it would-" her mind went off into a far away place for a moment.
The papers on her desk were covered in mathematical equations, amounts, ingredients and subscripts. Next to those papers was a journal, with pages bookmarked, and tabs of paper sticking out; it was her personal journal. This journal was of decent/average size, with a brown leather cover, old pages, and filled with pictures drawings and more of what was on the papers covering the desk. Even the floor around her had papers littered over it, she was so focused on her work that she had become deaf to the students outside the class running and yelling.

Of course, the masked student wasn’t alone even though she thought she was. Alianna sat tucked in the back corner of the room, where she’d been after the Sixth Year classes had let out. The blonde had her own notebooks out, and she was silently taking notes and working on another poison, one more lethal than the ones she’d used before. In all honesty, Alianna had been in here for awhile. But as a Jasmine, she got to places and hid with ease—silently slipping into places without anyone noticing unless she wanted to be noticed.
And right now, she didn’t. Or she hadn’t, because really, Vos’s mumbling was annoying and just because she was stealthy and half the people didn’t know where Alianna was unless she wanted them to, or that nobody knew she was the one responsible for the deaths of three students in the past year, she couldn’t as easily block out mumbling.
“If you could just shut up that would be great,” she snipped from her spot. She’d been sitting here for at least an hour and a half, and all the plants and such by her side looked to be non lethal, but Alianna had discovered that together they gave a nasty sickness and she was trying to make it worse. Half the bouts of “flu” or “food poisoning” someone had come down with for the past three or four years had been Alianna’s fault; most of them anyway. She’d never been caught, thanks to her sneaking around. One person who figured out had been killed. The other who was kinda onto her was her next target. But most would agree that Alianna’s work was for enemies, if they saw her collection at the moment.

It wasn't much of a surprise that Valentina hadn't noticed Alianna, she tended to be the type to ignore people, not because she was rude. Well, it depended on the day. Sometimes she would do it on purpose because she disliked someone, but most days it was the reason that she didn't care to waste time talking to people. Everything for her was down to a science and down to the minute, a moment wasted ruined her schedule.
Unlike Alianna, Vos wasn't a master of stealth, it wasn't her area of strength. But if she wanted she could go unnoticed easily, doing it often, but would never outshine the Jasmine House in the department. Rather she was a Fern, her areas of skill leaning towards the human body, the human mind, plants, poisons, and medicine.
Looking up, when she assumed someone was speaking to her, Vos looked over her shoulder. It took her mere moments, to name each plant, the properties of it, what it could do medicinally and to figure out that together they could make something toxic. Only an idiot wouldn't have noticed the deaths in the last year, and Val wasn't ignorant to them, she had taken the chance to use the bodies as a science project of sorts. She knew their cause of death, and the ingredients involved. Which now only meant, she knew who'd done it. Two weeks after it happened. While she was a rule follower and the type to chastise people about not following said rules, she certainly didn't care to butt her nose in a go around telling people, could have months ago. But didn't.

Alianna’s blue eyes scanned Vos, watching at her fellow sixth year looked at the plants scattered around her. Alianna sighed and held up her journal. “I was asked to make something lethal for missions, as a worst-case scenario,” she told her easily, and then rolled her eyes. “Anyway, are you going to answer me? Keep. Your. Voice. Down.” With a sneer, the blonde slammed the notebook back on the table, being loud on purpose because as a Jasmine she was naturally quiet in terms of her movement, so if she was loud, it was done purposely. “Clearly, fox head, I’m working,” she hissed.

Valentina naturally gave no response with her actions, the younger students often joked that she was a robot, and she wore a mask to hide it. Beneath the mask two sage green eyes watched Alianna, silently judging her words, actions, and even how she sat.
"Make sure not to eat it," Vos replied simply.
With that comment it was clear Valentina knew what Alianna was doing, and had just let the girl know. She watched or for a few more seconds before looking at her notes, again.
"Clearly you can't keep your own voice down, and don't threaten me, I already know twelve plus, other lethal mixtures you could make with those harmless plants in front of you."
That was a threat.

At this, Alianna just snorted. “No way; I planned to devour it instantly,” she snipped back with an eye roll. And besides, the whole botany class or most of it anyway was about poison making so she wasn’t all that concerns about Vos’s reactions. “Okay, so you know more dangerous plants and poisons, congrats. You do know you’re acting like making poisons is illegal or something, right?” Alianna hedged, and she propped her chin on her hands, a small smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. “Because it’s not. So I don’t know why you feel like threatening me or acting like you’re so much better than me. After all, even if you did plan on killing me, you’d have to find me first.” And that was the think about most Jasmines: if you didn’t want to be found, you weren’t, and the same went for a Alianna as well. She had her hiding places, she was eerily quiet, and she was ruthless, all a very deadly combination. So she also liked this cha be to turn the accusation back on Vos. “Besides, I don’t need to keep my voice down since again; this isn’t illegal. Unless again, you’re plotting something,” she declared with a nod. “Which explains why you also probably don’t want anyone seeing your face.” Really, she had no idea what the mask deal was, but all evidence pointed to Vos, not Alianna, as a problem right now, in her mind.

Valentina wanted to pull off the mask, and pinch the bridge of her nose, with how this Jasmine student was acting. For someone who supposedly wanted the room to be silent, she could talk an ear off and as someone who didn't talk much it was like nails on a chalk board.
But while on the subject, Valentina would have little to no trouble, finding this girl. She was a Fern after-all, and the House tended to work together rather than separate and alone. All it meant for her was starting a conversation which was possibly the worst part, as she disliked talking to people, but finding Alianna with help wouldn't be hard.
"You should wear a mask, it's embarrassing for your house that you walk around without one," "With that face," Vos mumbled.
While Alianna believed this all pointed to Valentina, it wouldn't be hard to tell that the other girl had started this entire conversation. As students in other houses knew Val disliked confrontation and disliked people in general, so there would be no motive, and as a Jasmine it would be foolish for Alianna to not research her fellow year-mates. Vos and many others had done it. She added a few more lines to a drawing she was working on, it would be finished once she used a black pen to add the final details. Realizing the time could be catching up on her, she lifted the cuff of her sleeve checking the time, smiling under the mask as this pointless bickering hadn't wasted much time.

That's what Valentina thought, sure, but Alianna was a Jasmine. She was also stealthy in general thanks to her need to be, for her terrible intents, and she would not be found if she didn't want to be. She was able to hide In places nobody would look, and the one who found her was killed before he could say a word. Her boyfriend, to be exact. Oh well. Maybe Vos could find her with some help. But Alianna didn't know she was thinking that.
Alianna just grinned at that. "My house loves me, and I'm gorgeous," she stated, puffing up a little with pride, because while maybe only some in Jasmine liked her--her head didn't--Alianna was quite pretty, just...not always when she sneered and rolled her eyes at people. "But thanks for the suggestion," she called to Vos, watching her go back to her sketches before went back to her own work, picking up her pencil again. Alianna always used pencil, it was easier to erase evidence if anything really bad happened for her.

Vos wasn't the type that needed to be stealthy, she respected the Jasmine for their ability to hide from almost anyone, it was impressive to say the least. But Jasmine's like Alianna, got on her nerves, they were stuck up and couldn't figure out when the time was right to not say anything.
"Not really," Valentina adds, this was said deep in her throat.
From what Val had seen in the hallways, quite a few of the other Jasmine tended to look at Alianna like she was constantly holding a knife in front of her to stab someone.
Over her shoulder Valentina sign languaged a crude response. She sat upright slightly in her seat, picking papers from the floor, she placed them in a pile on her desk making sure it was a neat stack. Lifting a bag onto her lap, she opened the bag and put away her things, before standing. Pushing in her chair she swung the bag over her shoulder. Currently, Valentina as usual, for a person without a face, was always very put together. A white blouse with a small black ribbon tied in a bow at the neck, as well as a (black and white) plaid skirt with knee-high socks, black Oxford loafers on her feet. Her hair was tied back with another black ribbon, her trademark mask over her face. She made sure she hadn't forgotten anything, and made her way to the door.

Alianna, not phased at that, just smiled sweetly, making her blue eyes glint. "You wouldn't actually know," she stated. After all, Vos wasn't in Jasmine so in Alianna's mind, that would make her a very unqualified person to discuss Alianna's reputation within her own house.
With steady, almost steely, eyes, the blonde watched Valentina pick up her things and leave, and just giggled behind her hand when she made the crude response with her hand. It really pleased Alianna to know that she had bothered someone today to the point of one, getting the other person to sign something rude at her, and two, to leave the room. As she watched her walk to the door, she called out, "Have a pleasant day!" Before she turned back to the work at hand, a smirk plastered across her freckled face.
