Unsure of whether I should have added a book.

Expected publication date for this book is 7/4.

I was sent the manuscript by the author, to read prior to publication. Once finished I added the book to Goodreads (taking all details from the publisher's listing of course) in order to add it to my "Read" shelf. Come to think of it though, I am not sure adding a book before actual publication is allowed.

If the book needs to be deleted, would you be kind enough as to delete it for me? I apologise for any inconvenience I may have inadvertently caused and thank you in advance for your help!

Books can be added before publication date. People are sometimes adding books already when there is far less information known.
