IDK I THOUGHT IT WAS JACE FOR A HOT SEC
OR LIKE A CHARACTER FROM A WETOON

it's perfect lol
active, but not an overwhelming amount of people

thanks! Lol this is really mainly because 1.) I procrastinate on school on GR, and 2.) I reuse almost all my characters lol

I'm having trouble catching my breath
My brother was kind of having a hard time understanding nanobots and the possibilities that come with it, so I was going into a rapid explanation about how it would be possible to survive things like nuclear war with them and everything as well as the specifics of what it'd be doing in the body as well as the dangers that makes it hard to develop the technology and everything. How i wouldn't share it with the world because there is no telling what would happen, what the side effects would be. E.g. you might be infertile as a result and unable to like, have children or something. If that happens and i released that technology to the world, what would happen? no one would be able to reproduce and we'd eventually die, because while it prolongs life, it doesn't stop death. Humanity would go instinct. I'd much rather be the only person with the technology and live for a long time doing more research on things, creating things, doing what I want to, and possibly world domination. Like, i'd be a tyrant, but i'd make the world a better place and would actually think about ways to solve world problems.

but i was explaining that all without breathing while walking so WHEW
and i had to go over some things a few times because he wasn't understanding.
and then he was like "so the reason you are better at science than me is that you know about nanobots" no. you act like just because I can go into a long discussion about one thing means I don't know other things about science, theories, etc. All because I said he wasn't better at science than me like our parents believe just because it's the only thing he ever got good grades in. No. Just because it's the only thing he's good at, doesn't mean he's better than me in that subject. Especially since science is one of my passions. They try to do it to brag about him and just say I'm the writer and what-not. But my career will likely either be in business or genetic engineering.
yikes. it sucks having a bunch of interests but people just take one and make that their entire perception of you, i'm the "writer child" of my family too and i haven't written anything in months

I can admit that he's better with art and stuff than me. But like, if it's because he knows a bit about space, he isn't the only one that does? I also know a lot about space. I get it, you want to throw him a bone, but like, don't just go on about how I'm bad at science when I never had been?
I wouldn't say I'm a genius, I just don't like how they make it seem like I don't know anything about science when I do. Science and English have always been the subjects I've been good at. Sure, ELA has always been my highest score, but that's because it's ELA. It's not as difficult tbh.

EXACTLY
I hate that.
Especially since they grew up saying I was going to be in the STEM field but now I'm no good with science? "Oh yeah, they're going to be a writer." I like writing. However, I don't have the motivation to follow through with my ideas and stories and writing doesn't make any money unless you get lucky like J.K. Rowling. It's the same with science, but at least it's more rewarding.

just because I can go on hour long conversations about character development, world-building, and my plots doesn't mean I'm going to write books for a living.
the way people insist on every little thing being a competition because they can't accept that people can just be good at things without needing comparison is so dumb. AND AND everyone wants you to capitalize on your hobbies and make them a career once you're older because society values work instead of actually enjoying things. :/

yeah. it's ridiculous.
like, i have a list of things I want to do. It'd be nice if I could write something, but I'm not interested in making a career out of it. it's not what I want to do with my life.
I want to research things. Create nanobots, get us to another inhabitant planet, research dimensions, travel between galaxies, quicker transportation that doesn't harm the planet as much, make contact with extraterrestrial life. Make weapons, improvements in technology and create a life in a lab and everything. Start my own company from scrap and build it to one of the biggest companies there is, branch off in many things. Heck, I'd much rather voice act than my career be something in writing.

i want to be the person who's capable of making big discoveries about the planet and furthering technology as much as I can, possibly even bringing our world into a new era. anything but writing.
yo those all sound super cool!! those are all so awesome dude
we're like living opposite lives lmao, my dad still thinks i want to be a NASA engineer and a rocket scientist but I want to be an actor/screenwriter and an activist.

I think that sounds pretty amazing too. Careers like that are just as important as entertainment is really important.
Being an actor was something I wanted to do when I was younger. Detective, Lawyer, Actor, etc. I wanted to do a lot of things, and honestly, I'd much rather be any of those things than a writer.
aww thank you. i kinda just want a platform, yknow? there are a lot of things i want people to know and a lot of opinions i have on the world and things that could be fixed and i need a way to get that out there. plus i love acting lol.
yes exactly! i was super into robotics as a kid and now it's like my parents think that's the only option i have. i'm pretty sure MIT is definitely not my dream college but that's what i say to make them happy.
NO U DO NOT
