I liked the story. It will be interesting to see how Sean and Lucy adapt to being full time parents.
I liked the full coverage of Jesse and Sean, with Lucy. I though the investigation with Charlie et al was not as strong as it might have been.
I thought Lucy's investigation into Charlie McMahon was OK. Some parts of it were interesting and other parts were boring. I absolutely loved the other half of the book with Jesse and Sean. If I were the author, I would have wrapped up the Charlie mystery first. Then I would have Lucy and Nate returning to the house to find the cops out front and Sean, Jesse & Madison missing. I had a hard time putting the book down at this point. When Jesse and Sean were rescue and we had to go back to the other story, it was kind of a let down.
I liked the McMahon case until it got resolved. To many open issues for me and it felt rushed.
I was completely absorbed in the Sean/Jesse storyline! That was hard to put down and the final abduction/rescue scenes were riveting.

Was anyone else surprised that Madison died? I thought that Sean, Jesse & Madison would eventually be rescued, and it would be proven that she was complicit in Carson's money laundering scheme, so she would go to prison too. I never thought about the possibility of her dying.
