Adding Author images

Hi - I’m looking at a few books where the author has no photo on their profile but they do on various social media sources.
Can an ordinary Goodreads user request these to be added please? Thanks in advance. Paul P

Yes, but with some conditions.

For us to be able to add it, the author photo must either be in the public domain (very uncommon for living or recently-deceased authors), or we must have the permission of the photo's copyright holder.

Just being available on "various social media sources" is not sufficient.

A.F. Steadman is very famous contemporary author. For some reason, her photo and biography are missing from her Goodreads page

Since she has claimed her profile, presumably she does not wish for either.

In any case, librarians can't do anything about it.
