Rachel B (rachel36) | 54 comments By clean, I mean no sex and little to no profanity.

I’d prefer non-Christian, non-religious books, as well.

Cindy (magnoliasouth) | 4 comments The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, doesn't exactly qualify. It does have some sexual content, but isn't too bad. Still, it's there.

Unfortunately everything I can think of has some sexual encounter. Now, a few clean Edith Wharton books come to mind but aren't what I'd call "romances". I call her books "you'll want to slit your wrist at the end" books. lol! Nothing happy ever really happens in those.

Try looking into older Harlequin novels. There is probably a group where you can ask about those, too.

It really is too bad that sex is just about in every book these days.

Sirvantes | 180 comments There are lots of suitable books out there that fit your requirements. You should check out the goodreads listopia list of Swoony Awards (readers choice awards for clean, secular, wholesome romance):

MJ | 1617 comments Her best match. Not quite arranged, but clean, and still interesting likeable characters and story. Don’t remember any religious tilts either.

Gillian Wiseman (gillianwiseman) | 241 comments I would recommend the old classic regency novels - the Signet, Dell and Fawcett ones, and similar. There were hundreds published in the 80's and 90's, and many of them had arranged marriages, arranged betrothals, etc... as themes.
