Hello, everyone. I'm aiming to put up a new thread later today.

I wrote a brief review on 8 April at 8.14pm... this is a part of it:
"The TV version of 'Slow Horses' is good entertainment, swinging back and forward from s..."
I don’t find it easy to find stuff on this GR format, especially if I haven’t been on for a few days. So thanks for the repost, I’ll give it a go.

It's message 291 - I hadn't realised that the date/time thing didn't work so well.
Or - typing 'slow horses' into the search box for the topic will bring up all references. I hope you like it when you see it - 3 episodes shown, 3 to go - weekly on Fridays, I think.

Speaking of the spy genre, I have a Le Carré question: I left off after A Perfect Spy, back in the mid-1980s. I was thinking of skipping ahead to what wikipedia describes as his "first post-cold-ear novel", The Night Manager, since I'm starting to move from the 1980s to the 1990s in my "contemporary" reading. But then I see that there were only two others in between, The Secret Pilgrim and The Russia House, so perhaps I might as well go ahead and do those as well. Any thoughts or opinions on the late-80s Le Carrés?
