Or you can just post here after completing a book here with what category you want to put it in. I will check the thread daily and update message 2 and 3 accordingly. Does this work?
This wont allow ys to discuss amongst ourselves regatding how we would.like to distribute/ choice of categories/books. EtcA new message/page /discussions will help.
Team B Picks:Currently Reading:
2011 - Horror - Graveminder 324 Pages, Nathan
2013 - Crime - The Cuckoo's Calling 456 pages, Leena
2015 - Translation - My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry 372 pages, Soumith
Finished Reading:
Team B, Lets update this comment
@Bookworm : we have to compete against a bookworm so we ought to be fast 😂😂😂I thought a separate team thread would be feasible.
@Nathan, Well, all of us are bookworms. :D@Vis and @Pallavi, any team name ideas? I'm the least creative (my username is enough proof) lol.
@Em, that works. We'll just have to watch out msgs 2 and 3 for scores etc. And you might have to filter out these recent msgs to keep track.
@Bookworm: I had liked a few in an article on book clubs. Some are like:
1) Born To Read
2) Lit Ladies (ladies group)
3) Wild Readers
4) Readers To Death
5) Page Turners
We can always google though :P
@Pallavi, Did I mention I'm indecisive too? :P I like Lit Ladies and Wild Readers.
The Lit Trio?
@Vis, what about you?
Also googled for fun. Look what I found, music based 😂
Nerdy and We Know It
Can't Stop Reading

Tbh, I like 'Born to Read' too.
Ok, till she comments her agreement (lol), lets assume it's 'Can't Stop 'Reading'.

out of 9 books I have read only Grandmother asked me, that too was a DNF for me.
Hope you have good time with your respective picks. Will be here to read out the thoughts on them. :)

Woah, lot happened since I came! Cool names and I want all of them! ;) Lit Ladies sounds great!
But between "Born to read" and "Can't stop reading", I'll go for the latter

Leena wrote: "Bookworm : do u 3 have another thread for discussing book choices?"Leena, I just created one.
@Team Can't Stop Reading - Here's our thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
@Em, hope this is fine. :) Since GR doesn't have a group chat.
We'll most likely delete it once the challenge is done, if needed.
@Em, coming to translation, it's the year when the book is first translated to English or just first publication year (in it's original language)?
Soumith, Nathan do you guys want another thread too? We shoukd decide books ro each categories amongst ourselves.
Leena wrote: "Soumith, Nathan do you guys want another thread too? We shoukd decide books ro each categories amongst ourselves."Yess! lets do that!
@Em, Team Can't Stop Reading has completed #1. Award Winner (Hugo, Nebula, Locus) - Network Effect -2020 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My intuition says, 96% of sci-fi readers will like this series.
@Em, this is amazing. You need to get to it this year! There's so much ..... ok.. I'll stop my gush fest for now.
Happy Reading All!
How does she do it?? Never gets up from her place?? Wow! I love her family for allowing her all this space.
Leena wrote: "How does she do it?? Never gets up from her place?? Wow! I love her family for allowing her all this space."😂 Kind of. I use work breaks and late evenings/nights because I have been working from home since beginning of covid. Yeah, I love my family too, for far too many reasons (including the one you mentioned). :D
But, I'll be mostly moving out, to my office site from my hometown (in mid-Apr), so I'll be far too busy then. Just getting my fill before those days come. ;)
Does anyone else wish for work-from-home scenario long term? (not covid, just in general)
Nah... 'Team Can't Stop Reading' can't win without one another. :)
I don't mind either. WFH nad office works for me.. both have their own pros and cons! I guess Bookworm will finish another book by EOD :p come on, B!
Pallavi wrote: "not me @bookworm I want office to open and especially daycares... :)"
Yeah, my colleagues with kids (especially toddlers) want the same. Understandable :)
Visalakshi wrote: "I don't mind either. WFH nad office works for me.. both have their own pros and cons! I guess Bookworm will finish another book by EOD :p come on, B!"
I want WFH so bad. Sigh!
lol no... I haven't even started another book. Will try tomorrow. :D
