That sounds really rough. O_O My mum is awesome in that she is pretty lenient, but I also grew up knowing to just never do anything wrong. So I didn't. And so I have never actually gotten in trouble that much before.

The only time I was ever spanked was when I accidentally cut my hair when I was trying to cut a necklace that got tangled up free. I cut off a plait which was almost two feet long, haha. I had a heap of them though, so it was only a small patch of short hair, but still, it was a knee jerk reaction and on the back of the leg.

I should have added how much Felix loved the feasts. Felix is a super big fan of the first feast of the year, so to suggest they skip it for Teddy's sake was big, he was doing something really nice by giving up something he loved. And I could have added that but I didn't think of it until later.

Also, the first feast of the year is how they met, technically. They actually spoke the next day, but Teddy saw him at the sorting and then the feast, so.

Like the fact that he's super jealous when he has someone he likes and he sees them with other people. History: Gabriel was never meant to be in the games. That year, they reaped boys first instead of girls. He comes from a career district, but he wasn't one of the tougher ones. He was in the bottom of his classes, actually. When he was reaped, it wasn't his name they called. It was another boy, a tougher career who had bullied Gabriel. A boy that Gabriel had developed a crush on, and had been shot down and then bullied repeatedly for "being gay". In District One, there's always a lot of volunteers, it's natural. They always wait patiently until the escort calls out asking for volunteers. Not Gabriel. Seeing his bully up there, something over took him. Some rage, some kind of determination. He never wanted to be in the games, but before his bully could even reach the stage, Gabriel was yelling out the words. "I volunteer as tribute!" It was like a foreign language leaving him. His feet carried him, and that was it. Gabriel Parker was District One's male tribute for the 23rd Hunger Games. It wasn't like he had much to live for. Gabriel's dad had been abusive and had mysteriously ended up dead, murdered, one day after he'd raped and beaten Gabriel's mom. Of course, when the peacekeepers questioned thirteen year old Gabriel, he claimed he hadn't seen who did it, that he and his mom had left the house to get her medical care. And his mother, who loved Gabriel and was glad to be free of her abusive husband, backed him up. The last three years, it's just been Gabriel and his mom and his little sister, Lucy, who is twelve. They're well off, they lived well, all is good. Gabriel has had a girl or two in his life for dates but other than that, nothing really has happened in his life yet. The gay rumors died down because no one believed the bully, so Gabriel just lived a normal life. He had some friends but more than that he had people who knew who he was. Not really closely or anything. The games might actually be an improvement on his life. Either way, Gabriel never wanted them, but he doesn't exactly have a choice now. And then the horrible happened. When they got around to the female tribute's reaping, they called some girl named Jessa. And then the volunteering happened, and another voice called out, "I volunteer as tribute!" It was a familiar voice. The voice of Lucy Parker. Gabriel watched in horror as his headstrong little sister made her way up. He was speechless, but there was nothing he could do. They were the brother sister duo from District One.

Fighting Skills: Gabriel isn't a natural fighter. However, despite looking rather small, he's a scrapper. He's got some strength to him. He's good with hand to hand fighting and he lifts weights well.

Weapon of Choice: He honestly is really good with spears. Sharp ones that he can throw, javelins, that type of thing. He has quite the throw. They're heavy and bulky and he'd have to carry them around, but that'd be his choice.
