I honest don't know why I'm staying in the group/went back. I left the first time she I felt left out. Now the main reason I went back is gone and I'm giving my character amnesia because of it. I swear, I have never been so sick of emotes in my life right now, since I have been reading them/using them every other word to show I'm not a horrible person, I'm just task orientated.

Emotes are over rated. Idk about you guys but if people are good writers, usually I can tell their tone from how they write something. I have an inner dialogue in my head, reading writing out loud and hearing it, and I can usually tell if someone is being friendly or if someone is nice. No need to overload with emotes. But maybe that's just me.

Opinion on my injury scene? It's 5:25am, so it isn't very emotional, but it should be explanation enough of how it happened.

Ariadne felt heat warm her body. It was from the emotional turmoil she felt inside. Was the only way she could keep a guy to sleep with them? Is that why she had been stood up? Well, no that was absolute rubbish, right? Even when she did sleep with someone, they were loath to stick around. Her conditioned feet have found themselves racing up familiar steps. The Astronomy Tower was always beautiful around Christmas time.

When she got upstairs and pushed the door open, Ariadne went straight to the edge of the balcony, leaning against the railing as she sniffed in frustration. It was only frustration, a fact she tried to convince herself of, tears watering in her leaf coloured eyes. Despite everything about her and everything that had happened to her, even in despite of the things she had done in life, she was still, first and foremost, a girl. A young woman. Being stood up for a ball was probably her worst nightmare.

As more pain came to her emotionally, a headache reared it's angry head, throwing in some more discomfort for the night which had already gone so horribly wrong. Closing her eyes and rubbing them with her fingers, Ariadne sniffled quietly to herself, about to start lecturing herself when a spout of strong dizziness hit. It reminded her of the vertigo she had started to feel before the ball.

When she opened her eyes, the world was tipsy. It was blurry and, as Ariadne tried to catch the railing next to her with her hand, she missed. She tripped on the bottom train of her dress at the same time, the action driving her forward with some momentum. It was enough speed to cause her to get almost thrown over the railing, her hip knocking the top of it as she went. That was when the feeling of floating set in.

Wind rushed about her face and gathered up her hair. It ruffled, as did her dress, and she felt the cool night air through the fabric. In her mind, she was looking through the eyes of someone flying on a thestral, and it made her feel as free as a bird herself. Then something fractured and the real world flashed through.

Her eyes widened, but she didn't scream. She couldn't. She wouldn't have, anyway. It would be a waste of time and she knew she could handle herself. She could save herself. But did she want to? Not really. Ariadne was so sick of everything! Life was hard, and so far, she was losing the game of it. Sometimes she wished she could just forget everyone around her and pretend she never left.

As the ground came closer, Ariadne grabbed her wand from under the sleeve of her dress. It was like something had taken over her body as she droned through the family cushioning spell. At home, she would use it often, jumping from her second story window and down onto the pillow soft earth beneath her. This time, however, the spell did not work as well as normal.

Ariadne braced herself, a natural reaction to plummeting to the ground, and she did not stay awake long enough to stay surprised. Her spell had practical failed her. The ground had softened, but not enough to truly lessen the blow, and all Aria could conscientiously note was the bright, blinding flash of white in her mind as excruciating pain she felt everywhere else on her body.

Now she screamed, but it was short lived, and a bit of blood marred her lips from the couch. A rib had punctured her left lung. A few scratches from the long grass and some stones were on the left side of her face as well, and a few bones in her left arm and both legs were done for. She would have tried to move them, but the scream cut off, her head tilted to the side, and she only just managed to get her uninjured wand arm up over her eyes, as though her right arm would block the bright light she saw inside of her head. Then the world went dark.

I went with the telling people how she feels and what happened rather than showing them. I don't have the inclination right now, so I'm hurting Ariadne in my upset for pure joy.

↳ When she first meets someone, Jay can be very fidgety. It takes time for her to get used to the smell of them and the effects of being able to hear their blood pumping can be somewhat distracting for her. But, seeing as how she has been part vampire her entire life, she has learned to deal with the overwhelming senses in a calm, controlled fashion. Being precise and articulate is something she is very proud of actually, and her bedroom, work space, and books are always in perfect order. Feeling in control of a situation around her helps her to feel in control of the battle inside her. While it may not be a huge, raging monster who wants to drain everything around her, the constant, dull ache of being reminded of what she is can be very tiresome. This is why, some days, she may have to skip class and stay away from people. She has a conscience and dislikes the idea of drinking from people, so she sucks on blood flavored lollipops most of the day, and only drinks from certain animals. She will bury their bodies after they have died--she feels that they did not deserve to die because of her, so she lets them rest in peace, though another part of doing this is to conceal herself. However, because of her nerdy, geeky personality, people just assume she is that one dweeb who prefers to be a loner instead of crowding around with the other crazy fiction fans. The cover works well. When you get to know her, and push past her soft spoken, reserved nature, you will find someone who can be very pleasant and charming. She is patience, rarely loses her temper, and in some cases, this just makes her a big too close to creepy for comfort. Few things rattle her nerves. A huge part of her is a thrill seeker. If she is not off reading somewhere, or brewing potions in a dark corner of some forgotten classroom, she can be seen cliff diving or trying to taunt the merpeople into talking to her. Do not get her started on centaurs. She often wonders if they could sense she is part vampire from just being near her. Curious, fearless, almost asking for a peaceful death wish, she is a very complicated girl, or rather, a very complicated vampire witch hybrid. Yet, as with any other person, a good friend will be able to decipher her in no time. In fact, they may ever get to know her more than she knows herself. Then what would she do?

↳ Naturally dark hair, so brown it is almost black, is a very typical trait of a vampire. But what about a half vampire? Her father, a man she has never met, apparently had eyes as dark as night. A window to the soul they say, that is what eyes are, so what does that mean for her sire? The answer is obvious, do you not agree? Jamie has been very fortunate in this aspect of life though--when she looks in the mirror, she does not see a wicked glare staring back at herself. She sees pale eyes, the very opposite of what one would expect. She gained them from her mother, as did her sister, and the silver blue irises are, by far, the most brilliant aspect of her physical form. Lately though, she dyed her hair a dark purple, so that it shimmers and changes in the light of the sun. She wanted to do something like that to distract people from the paleness of her skin and the way she would burn easily under the rays of the vibrant star which lights their world. Her stature is on the smaller side, only five feet and three inches, but this means she tries to go unnoticed more often. It always causes her to be quick and nimble, and, when you combine her faster than normal speed with that, she does enjoy kicking vampire gene but when going outside in the sun and rushing to shade again. Usually for when she is getting potion ingredients, really, since she tries to avoid the outdoors as much as possible. Her lips are a light pink colour, naturally on the plumper side, but not so much as to look fat. Above her eyes are thin but perfectly shaped eyebrows, the facial hair being just a shade or two lighter than her waist length locks. When she is not in her school uniform, Jamie prefers to just lounge around in jeans and singlets, or some type of sassy, sarcastic, quoted shirt with a double meaning to some muggle book she has read and whatnot. Comfy shoes like jandals or sneakers, or barefoot, all work for her. She tries not to get dressed up too much or go to balls, mainly since that would draw more attention to herself, and she knows that some people already find her weird for eating vampire lollipops. They don't need to see how she gets nervous and sweaty around a room swarming with potential meal tickets. She has not bitten a human since she was a toddler, she does not want to break the streak now.

↳ One year after the birth of her first child and six months after the death of her husband, Marianne was dragged to a wizarding club by her loud and rambunctious group of friends. She hooked up with a vampire after getting somewhat drunk on the same night, and lo and behold, she had yet another sprog on the way. At first, she was less than excited about the prospect of a second child, especially with no partner to support her, but then she remembered that the baby was still a part of her. It was still part of her family, and then her worries vanished. They came back again when the vampire disappeared on her and she was left alone to raise a baby who did not understand that biting was not okay. Sure, all babies bit people now and then, but not all of them craved the blood they tasted if they broke the skin.

The fact that she was a half vampire meant that Thalia and Jamie never really saw eye to eye. Thalia was jealous of her sister for being "special" compared to her, so she teased and picked on her younger sister as often as possible to hide that fact. Calling her a blood sucking monster, a demon, an abomination. Eventually, Marianne did stop it from happening, but the effects on Thalia were only to stop her from teasing her sister when the parent was around.

At eleven, and after a few years of meeting a nurse at St Mungo's so make sure that she was okay to go to school and be around more people than just her family, Jamie got her letter to Hogwarts. The usual feelings of excitement, nervousness, and relief came with it. Excited about going to school. Nervous about what to expect. Relieved at being a witch, not just a vampire. She was not looking forward to having to see her sister again, but that was a minor loss in a war she was hoping to win.

They are not incredibly emotional, but what they do feel is only brought up by their own mind, as what others think never enters the process. The most common house for a bat patronus is Ravenclaw.
