I kind of envisioned they would have developed a good friendship by the time of the ball and they'll both be scared and Adeline will just grab Avalon's hand and Damon will probably make a mockery of it. And then when he attacks her, or sets one of the others on her Adeline will sort of stand by terrified but then hold her hand and promise her everything is gonna be okay and then probably not leave the infirmary because she's a sweetie....ah chaos *revels in drama*
