Ella, just got an idea. Maybe they forgive Ryan because in the Rebel attack, he has to run off to fight and Callum is scared for him and tells him not to go and he just kisses her and is like, 'Now when have I ever listened to you, princess?' and then runs off and they don't know where he went or if he's safe. And then when they find him tied up but alive later, albeit with a couple bruises, they forgive him automatically.

I did see that, and yes! I think that's a great idea. :) If you need someone to kill, I have a few ideas, one being the Dowager Queen. I mean killing the matriarch of the family at the ball would be horrendous... but at the same time I had other stuff planned for her before her death... But oh well!
