Yes, there were a lot of subplots going on. I thought the focus romance between Stan and Teri got a little lost, but I enjoy a book where there is a lot going on.
I loved all the subplots. Brockman pulled a lot together in one book nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it.
This was the next series I read after reading In Death three times. I fell for these complicated, multilayered storylines immediately and love it when I encounter them with other writers. Brockmann is SO good at connecting things it’s easy to keep up.
Yes, Brockmann incorporates the various sub-plots very well. One of the characters said that the hotel was like an episode of the Love Boat with all the relationships going on and I thought that was spot on, lol!
I enjoy a book with multiple story threads. I think Brockmann did an excellent job keeping all of the story threads relevant. There wasn't any story where I thought "ok, let's get through this part and on to an interesting story". I liked them all.
That’s a great point, Robin. Every storyline was interesting and I didn’t want to rush through any of them.
