Hercule Poirot is on a flight from Paris to London there are 11 other passengers plus two stewards in Poriot's section of the plane. One of the passengers is murdered mid-flight, seemingly from a dart from a blowgun. No one saw anyone with a blowgun pipe though one is found hidden behind Poirot's seat on the plane. The murdered lady is found to be a moneylender and a blackmailer. Of course Poirot ends up helping investigate the case. This is one of the more inventive Poirot mysteries. I remembered parts of it from when I read it as a teenager but I didn't guess who the killer was until right before the end. I did take half a point off my rating for some very racist points of views expressed by one of the characters, a product of the time the book was written but still not fun to read. I've been slowly re-reading Christie's books in publication order. I'd like to pick up the pace because I do enjoy them.
