Trying to confirm that this edition of The Big Sleep actually exists. It looks like the first edition published in 1939 but indicates that it was published in 2008. However, there are no other details. Is there a way to get more information on this edition?

It may list 2008 because that is the year it was added to the Goodreads database. I think you are right that it is the 1939 edition.
