guys i think that everyone forgets that this is a series aimed at 9-12 year olds, so rick wouldn't go too in depth in all these things, because the audience wouldn't UNDERSTAND them. if this was a YA book, sure, the criticism would be more valid but this is a children's/middle grade book.
