At the beginning of the story, it was believed that Tracy’s stalker and the Cowboy were one and the same. When did you begin to realize that there might be two separate people?

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments When Tracy recalled some of the things that happened in the last book, I remembered we never did figure out who was behind them. The Cowboy wouldn't have any reason to be hanging around her hometown, so I figured Tracy's stalker had moved to Seattle when she returned there.

I’m glad we weren’t seeing something that wasn’t there in the last story. That stalking was an unresolved issue for me so I was glad to see it resolved here.

I can’t explain why but I couldn’t see the stalker and the Cowboy being the same person. There were two strong motivations for each and Tracy didn’t fit the profile of the Cowboy’s targets. It was just something I held separately from the start.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments I agree with both of you. I never saw Tracy's stalker as The Cowboy. When Tracy remembered the stalker in the last book, I thought maybe Nolasco or one of his pals was trying to scare her.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I didn't think they were one in the same. Felt weird that The Cowboy would leave rope at her shooting range. From what we learned about him and then the person that did Stinson - nothing was left behind - no evidence - so that didn't jibe for me

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments That's the way I saw it, too.

The fact that the stalker from the first story appeared at the beginning of this book should have cemented it for me, and maybe it did in my subconscious mind. Then when Nolasko discovered Tracy's pictures with Xs on them, I was certain there was a murderer, but it wasn't our Home Depot associate.
