Early in the investigation, several suspects emerged (Bankston, Gipson, Nash, etc.). Who got your attention early on and why? Did your opinion shift as the story progressed?

Robin (robinmy) | 2478 comments Daryl Nash was my suspect at the beginning of the book. He owned both clubs where the targeted dancers worked. I thought Bradley Taggert was a jerk, but I didn't think he was the killer. I thought Bankston was a red herring. It was just too convenient finding his DNA on the rope at the shooting range. I figured he touched the rope and other products at his place of work before they were distributed for sale. My only thoughts about the real killer (Nabil?) was that he was the only person who voluntarily helped the police when they came to the clubs.

I really thought Nash was the prime suspect. Then when that attorney Twomey was discovered, I gave him serious consideration. However, when Bankston had those curious results with the lie detector tests, he jumped to the top of my list but I had questions.

Taggert was too undisciplined to be the Cowboy but Gipson was a toss up for me.

Frankly, I was at a loss as to who was the strongest possibility. Unfortunately, Nabil was rather low on my list.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments Nash stayed at the top of my list until Bankston's lie detector test. The thing with Bankston was he didn't feel right to me, so I went back to Nash.

Nabil never hit my list. It was a surprise.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I'm with Sharon - Nabil never hit my list either. When it ended up being him I had to take a minute to figure out who he was - oops. Good thing I'm not a detective in real life, lol.
I thought it was Nash for sure at the beginning with him owning both clubs. Then the lawyer Twomey through me off and I thought it could've been him. Bangston I just thought was off - especially since he wouldn't look at the female FBI agent and was upset that Tracy wasn't there. He kept asking about Tracy which I thought was odd.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1221 comments With some of you, I was holding out for Nash or the lawyer Tomey. Nabil didn't even show up on my radar.
