Formulaic, easy read with dual timelines, where presents meet past. We follow the two main protagonists, Darby McLaughlin in the 1950’s Manhattan, and Rose Lewin in 2016. Fiona’s descriptions of the iconic New York buildings (The Dakota, The Barbizon hotel) were interesting, and the story was compelling. But I missed some character development, they fill a bit flat. Still, an enjoyable and cozy read that goes by fast.
