MountainKat | 31747 comments Jane, would a cover like this work?

Rules for a Proper Governess (MacKenzies & McBrides, #7) by Jennifer Ashley

She is in a gown, gloves and jewelry. But he is in a kilt with no shirt and her skirt is lifted to reveal both legs plus she isn't wearing shoes. Because of the incongruity, I am unsure... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep, so long as they aren't topless (ie without man's shirt ~ pretty sure the women won't be topless...?)

No Yes to chef.

Yes to man with the tie.

message 69: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Basically they need to be 'put together' and dressed with intent.

Flair would be great, but wearing a tie, dress, suit all work. I'm on the fence on the work uniforms, but I'm going to allow it since they are (generally) earned and worn with pride :)

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 2042 comments I am assuming a 'dress' military uniform would work for well dressed?

I'm saying yes to this one. He's wearing a jacket with the button down business shirt. It's an 'intended' fashion look.

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1971 comments Jane - I was going to read a classic for this round, The Enchanted April originally published in 1922, but then I noticed the "state your editions publication year." The problem with this is I have no idea what edition I'll be getting as I'm borrowing from the library and they have a million different editions on offer. Can we use original publication year or should I pick a different book?

That's fine Shelby - you can use any edition for qualification so long as it is at least 100 pages. I just meant that you need to state which edition you are using.

Sorry for the late reply!

Hi Jane, Two questions and they aren't "burning"

1- may I use tineye as my color identifier magic wand?
2- if tineye is allowed to help with color identification - would "violet" be considered purple for this challenge?

I'm looking at this book and it's purely out of laziness as I'm trying to get my Meet and Greet books read. :-)
