X blinked a couple of times, attempting to clear her vision of the tiny spots. She still jumped every time a sudden noise or motion came from the little box on the other side of the room. "Is this a typical passtime now?" She asked, glancing at Faron.

message 52: by [deleted user] (new)

She frowned, trying to puzzle it out in her head. If the television was playing a 'video', as Faron had called them, then a video game was likely a game on the screen as well. She tilted her head. "What type of video game do you typically play?" She asked.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

She frowned, extremely confused. "I'm not even going to ask what that is, because I get the impression that there isn't a simple answer." She said, laughing.

((Mm-hm. :) ))

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

((I have to go. Bye!))

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled crookedly. "You're going to have to be a little bit more specific. I know quite a few things." She tucked her feet under her, getting a bit more comfortable.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

She tilted her head, thinking back. She could recall several fun activities, but she couldn't really remember participating in any. It's kind of hard to have fun when you're a lab rat being tortured with all manners of tools and machinery. "I don't really know much about fun things, I guess. I find them kind of pointless. I don't see the purpose, so I never did any research." She said with a shrug.

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

She watched the show, somewhat confused. Every time the audience laughed, she jumped, and she simply couldn't see the point of such entertainment. "Is this what happiness feels like?" She asked, confused. She had thought that it was that light, bursting feeling in her chest whenever she was in her sister's presence.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

She blinked twice, then tilted her head. "I feel confused. Everything is very new to me, because I was gone for so long... The world is an entirely different place than the one I grew up in, and I never really had any contact with the outside world anyways, so I don't understand much."

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled. "Sure. I've never really done gardening, so this will be an enlightening experience." She followed him, staying a couple of steps behind him and to the left, as was custom last time she was out and about.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

She nodded, mimicking him perfectly. She delicately hollowed out a small space for the seed, placing one of the tiny seeds from the bag in the hole. Then she carefully put the dirt back on top of the seed, covering it completely. After that, she watered it. "Like that?" She asked, tilting her head.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

She did so, calmly focused on the task at hand. Carefully, she placed every single seed in the earth, and watered it, losing track of the time. When she finished, she dusted off her earthy hands, and glanced up at Faron where he was planting other things. She tilted her head, and studied him.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled crookedly. "Just admiring the view." She teased, then returned to the dirt. She smoothed over the ground a bit more, leveling the little piles of overturned earth. She was very careful not to press hard, though, knowing that if the dirt was too difficult to break through, the plants would die.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

((I have to go, I'm sorry.))

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

She tilted her head with a wicked grin, enjoying teasing him, and simply taking in the moment. She tipped her head back, blue strands of hair falling back from in front of her face, framing her delicate features. The sun shone on her face, and her wings glittered in the warm light as she basked in its glow. She had spent too long in the dark, too long in the cold.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Xaia tilted her head, meeting his eyes with her powerful gaze. "I'm not sure. Entertainment is much different now than it was when I was last out in the world." She frowned, thinking.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

She tilted her head the other way, the motion distinctly cat-like. "Drive around?" She asked, eyes wide. "You have a motorized vehicle?"

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia ran her fingers gently over the metal. She had never seen anything like it. "How did you manage to get your hands on one?" She breathed, unaware that everyone had them now.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

((I have to go again, bye!))

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

She carefully moved next to him, crouching on the seat, and holding onto the door and the side of her seat with a white-knuckled grip. Her eyes were big, round with amazement.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia watched him buckle her in, red creeping up her neck. Whether he realized it, it was the first time he had initiated contact with her, and she didn't really know what to do. So she simply sat there, and gave him a small, genuine smile.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

She watched the scenery flash by, rolling down the window so that the wind would run across her body, her wings. She stuck her hand outside, testing the air resistance. She smiled at Faron, joy in her expression.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled. "I know what a park is. We could go there. Clearly, I'm more comfortable in peaceful quiet, and in the dark than anywhere else." She said, relaxing slightly.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

X gripped his hand with a smile, allowing him to help her out of the car. She looked around the park with her hands on her hips, taking in the recently-cut grass and the trees set up precisely. "What in the world happened here?" She asked, tilting her head.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

She frowned. "It's so... manicured. Like some went through, and replaced the actual forest with a painting."

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia tilted her head, her eyes going to the tiny humans who were running around. They were so carefree. As if they knew that they were safe. She smiled softly. That's what childhood is supposed to look like. Not every person's history was like hers. Rather than feeling sad, and cheated, she was simply happy for those kids who ran and played as if they didn't need to worry about anything.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

She looked back at him, tilting her head. "You're going to have to be more specific than that." She teased, smiling. "There's a lot of different answers to that request."

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia frowned, turning over the questions in her brain. "Grey, I don't really eat much and if I do it's just to survive, and reading." She decided, smiling. "What about you?"

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled. "My turn to ask a question." She thought for a moment, tilting her head. "Who taught you to work in the garden?"

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

X read his body language, and backed off of the topic. "Since you got three questions, can I have the same number?"

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

She continued to think. "What's your favorite song, and what is one of your best traits?" She asked.

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

She frowned. "Maybe I should have thought more about that first question before I asked." She said with a laugh. "And yeah, you give off very empathetic vibes."

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

She stood with him, and smiled, stretching as well. "Again, it makes no sense that you are thanking me. I'm stating a fact."

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

She shrugged. "Whatever." She said, her tone laughing.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia followed, watching him walk across the path. "Is this as close as humans now ever get to nature?" She asked, sadness on her face. "This painting-park?"

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'm so sorry! I thought I was waiting on you. >.<))

X frowned. "Do you even realize how sad that sounds?" She crouched, placed her hand on the ground, fingers spread and threading through the grass. Took a moment to allow her form to fade, to almost melt into the ground. Her ability to shape-shift was magnified when she was in contact with something living, and she liked to take time every couple of days to appreciate it.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

With a quiet sound, she built herself up again, flashing through about twelve different forms, before settling on her favorite. She was slightly taller in this form than her other one, and she was wearing a black tee-shirt that said, 'Baby, I'm the reason why Hell's so hot.' in bold letters. She was wearing simple glasses, and skinny jeans, and her brown hair with red streaks framed her face messily.
"Are places like this, and your 'hikes' what you call untouched?" She asked, her eyes sad. "Let me guess: There are trails on your hikes, trampled grass, broken foliage? Where we are standing, there used to be a magnificent forest, its roots buried deep in the ground."

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

She scowled, shaking her head slightly. She still had a hand on the ground. Carefully, she picked her hand up, and dusted it off. "That's a very human answer." She said bitterly, her mind on the scientists who has tortured her and her friends as a way to 'improve' them.

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

Xia sighed, and leaned against the same tree, facing in a different direction. "I'm sorry I snapped at you." She murmured, before making her way to the play structure, not meeting his eyes. She smiled softly at the kids, and crouched down to talk to one. After a moment, both grinned at each other, and she shifted into a big dog, allowing the child to climb onto her back and cling to the fur of her neck and her ear. She pranced about for a bit, and soon the other kids were crowding around them, taking turns.
Kids had always made her happy. She had a soft spot for them, and often turned to them when she was in a sour mood, enjoying their innocence and light.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

She looked up to meet his eyes, and gave him a big, doggy grin. She shifted into a human again, the same form as last time, and got into frog position with one of the kids on her back, arms wrapped around her neck. She pulled his feet around her waist, and stood, jumping in circles as the giggling boy held on for dear life. She would never let him fall.
A challenge in her eyes, she beckoned Faron over, grinning crookedly.

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

X grinned. "I am." She twirled delicately, bouncing the kid on her back slightly. A little girl pulled gently on her pant leg, letting her know she wanted a turn. After a couple of moments, she told the boy on her back that it was time for his turn to be over, and he dropped, running off to play with a friend on the slide. She picked up the girl, and adjusted her form to have fairy wings. The girl laughed with delight, touching the pretty wings.

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

She chuckled. "Sure. I'm sure I could carry you." She looked up at him, a challenge in her sparkling eyes.

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

She whispered to the little girl she was carrying in her arms, and she gently placed her on the ground, smiling softly. Then she looked up at Faron, hands braced on her hips. With a crooked smile, she shifted her features so that she was extremely muscular and tall. She lifted Faron in one arm, raising him up and down with a laugh. "Easy peasy."

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

She shifted back to her favorite form, grinning crookedly. Before she had shifted back, she had set him down. She frowned slightly when he suggested picking her up. "I don't know. You could try, but I'm pretty heavy."

((Just so you know: She really isn't. She looks about like you would expect someone to look right after not eating for an extended period of time.))

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

She laughed, clutching his shoulders as if afraid that she'd lose her balance. It wasn't her balancing, so she'd be fine, but she was extremely clumsy, and grabbing onto things when she was in the air was a habit. She squealed, laughing.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

She squeaked, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding on as if for dear life. "Eep!"

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

She stepped back, swaying a little bit. She smiled crookedly. "Wow. You're strong."

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

She followed, jogging to keep up with his stride. He was just so tall! Or she was short. One or the other.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

She shrugged. "I really don't know what people do for fun anymore." She said with a sigh, shaking her head in defeat. "Everything's so different."

((I'm only going to be able to get in this one message before leaving again. Sorry! x.x))

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

She tilted her head. "Do you have Catch here? One of us is the Catcher, the other is the Runner?" She asked, slipping her hands into her pockets.

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry... again. >.< I'm letting you know, I'm in a lot of groups, and I'm working on a lot of projects, so if I ever don't answer, please just post again. You might need to be patient with me. :P))

She tilted her head. "Really? I guess simple childhood games probably are passed down, but I hadn't guessed that any that I used to play would still be around."
