The Swan Thieves question

I am reading The Swan Thieves. It is not my favorite book. Some parts are great and some parts are slow for me. Does anyone recommend other books with art or an artist significant to the plot? I can’t remember the title, but I read a historical book that included the origin of blue pigment. It was great. Looking for either good literature or just entertaining. Thank you.
