Arllie (glimmery_wonder) | 19 comments Hey everyone! I'm so psyched to read books and give you honest feedback. I've always been very vocal about my opinion, but lately, I haven't been able to get around to doing it as much. I want to get back into it and the best way to do it is to read waaay more books!

My go-to is romance and historical fiction (or literally anything that has *some* romance elements) BUT if that isn't your book, please don't let that stop you from sending it to me because books are books and I will read it regardless!

I do all my reviews on Goodreads so, send me a message with the link and I will get right on it :)

My email for any ARCS: geneliakurria@gmail.com

Audrey Lewis | 23 comments Hello Arllie,
I would love it if you would like to read and review my first magical realism novel The Tapestry which is being launched June 21.

Summary: The Tapestry is a heartfelt and deeply moving contemporary fiction book that touches on universal themes of love, pain, healing, and the joys of motherhood. Following the story of Maia, a young virgin who miraculously gives birth to a blind, albino hermaphrodite, this powerful tale embodies dashes of magic and fantasy as the emotions pour out of each page. When Maia runs away from her life and seeks refuge in the woods, a pack of coyotes and unseen helpers lead her to an abandoned cottage, giving her and her baby a new life. She names her child Justice, and she raises him as a boy so that he can have a better chance in the harsh, male-dominated world of the early twentieth century.
But neither of them could have foreseen what fate had in store for them. When they’re forced to abandon their cottage and struggle to carve out a life for themselves in the city, Maia finds solace in Justice’s incredible gift – a supernatural ability to weave colorful tapestries that can predict the future. Armed with this gift and deeply bonded with the coyotes that saved them so long ago, Justice discovers his true identity as a girl – and she embarks on a journey to share her gift with the world. Perfect for readers who love emotional, thought-provoking contemporary fiction, The Tapestry is a unique and memorable story that echoes the full range of the human experience.

If you are interested I'd be happy to send you an epub or mobi or pdf.

Thank you so much for you consideration,
Audrey

G.S. Boarman | 5 comments Arllie -
RE: The Will of the Turntable: The Way Home
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

I published this past April the opening trilogy for a projected 12-book series, covering the decade 1870-1880. I would be grateful for you to review the third book, since it is the latest book, but it I would be interested to hear your thoughts about the first two books, if you find yourself interested and/or have the time. I feel like the third book can stand on its own, but readers could turn to the first two books for back story, character development, etc.

To judge if you would be interested, please visit my author website at gsboarman.com. There you will find all kinds of info on the books, including the first chapter of each book, as well as the book covers and a 1870/2022 calendar that tracks each day of the first two books through the month of April, which is exactly the same in 2022 as it was in 1870, the year of the first three books. Book III occurs in June 1870, which mimics the month of June 2022 (starts on the same day of the year).

I would be more than happy to send you a copy of any or all three books. I think these books (and the whole series) will appeal to your interest in historical fiction and romance. The romance is admittedly slow-growing (for good reason) but there is plenty of history in these books.

Many thanks for your offer to help authors establish reviews.
GS Boarman

P. S. I hope the link I provided is what you wanted; I'm still learning my way around different websites.

Lynda Riggers (lyndawolters) Hi Arllie - I am looking for reviewers of my debut novel, available to the public November 1, 2022. I do have advanced reader copies and PDF format available. If you are interested please respond and let me know how to forward you the PDF. Thank you for your time. ~Lynda Wolters

Here's the blurb:

SERENADE KINCAID HAS LOST EVERYTHING: her stepchildren, her house, half her earnings, her sports car, and her husband, all to a much younger–and more fertile–woman.

Sera now drinks boxed wine from a plastic cup, lives in a seedy motel, and spends her time scrolling dating apps searching for a semi-decent-not-a-mass-murderer-please-just-spend-time-with-me port in the storm.

As Sera leapfrogs through men, her snarky, meddling boss and sometimes-best friend Carolyn encourages Sera to invest in a friend with benefits. Just until Prince Charming comes along, of course.

Enter Zac, a self-proclaimed unsuitable boyfriend who looks to have jumped straight from the pages of a romance novel. He insists he’s only looking for some fun, which is perfect for Sera. Cue the booty calls.

While avoiding her issues, Sera cannot stick to her boundaries regarding her too-consistent hookup. But when life takes a sharp left, all fun and games come to a screeching halt. Sera, Zac, and Carolyn must now race against time to disentangle their web of lies and deceit before it’s too late.

The Placeholder, a mash-up of Thelma and Louise meets Eat, Pray Love meets Me Before

The Placeholder, an unconventional, unforgettable, un-put-downable story of loss and love.

I.S. Lee | 8 comments Would you be interested in reviewing my debut scifi novel Aur Child? It's available for free on Kindle Unlimited:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09...

When a fisherman discovers clues about another people wielding great technologies, fear and uncertainty of exposure throw earthbound and virtual cultures into conflict, and forces a clutch of artificial intelligence stewards to question their obligations to humanity. As these two utopian worlds collide, so too do the worldviews that have caused a centuries-long stand-off.

Future-primitive Tellurians have enjoyed a peaceful coexistence with nature for centuries after the moment of technological collapse, described in ancient texts as Cloudburst. Only the studied elders are aware of a diaspora virtual civilization who secretly covets their energy ...and their bodies.

Tieri-Na rejects stories she's heard about abductions in the hinterlands. Life in the far north can be harsh, unforgiving. But nature shares her bounties with those who learn her ways. To Tieri, the forest is freedom from the hustle of the village… until the day she too goes missing.

Alai-Tiul longs for answers. Other villagers believe teachings about the perils of technology, yet he can’t help but wonder if there’s more to the old stories. What really happened centuries ago after Cloudburst wiped out everything… and everyone? If that history was so terrible, then why are the ancient wind towers, givers of unlimited energy, revered without question? To his inquiries, the elders reply,

“Meddle not with what we do not understand.”

But Alai does meddle, curious about the past and its people. When he discovers a metal cube in the forest, he exposes a secret. A secret about the world he shouldn’t know, and through his meddling, one that may disrupt the fate of humanity.

Deep and twisting, Aur Child immerses you in an exploration of hope and uncertainty, where merchant ships sail the winds between future-primitive villages and artificial intelligences harbor the exiles of virtual worlds. The story is a seminal contribution to the anti-ultraviolence movement with a fresh approach to post-apocalyptic Earth, blurring the boundaries between right and wrong, good and evil, and heroes and villains.

Leia Barko | 34 comments Hi Arllie, I'd love it if you reviewed my YA dystopian book, Ruffian. It is not primarily romance genre, but it does have romance elements which I hope interest you. Here is the synopsis:
Astra Hal is a Ruffian, a member of a secret organization created by the artificial intelligence Sigma, designed to be humanity’s last hope in case all else fails.

Hendric Sanjor is the son of a representative in the United Republic of Global Welfare, the ruling body of the world.

When a virus of unknown origins starts spreading across the planet and Hendric’s family is accused of starting it to gain political advantage, Astra is sent to investigate the issue. When it becomes clear that the accusation is false, the two form an uneasy alliance to hunt down the real perpetrator behind the pandemic. But the puzzles, criminals, and politics they weave through can in no way prepare them for the dark secrets they are about to uncover.

Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon!

Erik Rosenberg | 4 comments Hello Arllie!

The link to my book is https://www.amazon.com/Nordic-Dreams-...

It is a fiction, mystery book with romance included. I tend to use more realistic elements to my romance and I am trying to not make it feel forced. I want it to slowly build through the common struggles and naturally involve.

Of course, it is not a romance book but more like Mystery, Thriller taking place on the Victorian Era. I have elements of early 1900's horror as well.

Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Erik R.

Hi Arllie,
My name is Byron. I write fantasy and paranormal romance. My new book, Crescent Moon, Mourning Son, is set to release on September 22nd.

Description:

Nature's War Rages...

With the secrets revealed, lines are drawn deep into the Earth, tearing it apart in the Great Mother's absence. A bloodsoaked rain falls as the dead walk the streets with unimaginable monsters in their midst. Reality itself is split by the choices made, and the consequences may strip away what sanity remains.

The Apocalypse has come and Ambrosia stands face to face with a Celestial… a familiar darkness drawn from the shadows, so formidable now that the Numani—those guardians of the light meant to be our protectors—are frightened. We all should be.

Still, through the peril a hero emerges. Will it be enough to overcome the odds, or is the future already set in stone?

B.C. Taylor (bctaylor) | 7 comments Hi Arllie, so my book is a YA fantasy, which doesn't match your preferred genres, but since you're open to other genres I've included my book blurb in this comment. Let me know if it sparks your interest and I can send you the ARC. Thank you!

Five deadly Trials. An ancient, sinister evil.

One lost witch with the power to save the world.

Welcome to Asylum.

Twelve-year-old Hayden Black has never been normal, that much she knew, but when her father is abducted by demons, she learns just how remarkable she truly is. Not only is she a witch, but Heaven’s angels have chosen her as the next Salem Witch, destined to protect the world from evil… if she can survive the deadly Salem Witch Trials first.

Now Hayden must traverse the magical world of Asylum and learn to use her powers. If she doesn’t master all five elements — air, fire, water, earth, and Spirit — before her seventeenth birthday, she forfeits her life.

Hayden might have started her journey orphaned and alone, but it doesn’t take her long to forge new friendships and attract new enemies. Hayden thought her only nemesis was the residential bully, but her greatest enemy, a terrible evil lurking in the shadows, has yet to reveal itself.

Will Hayden master her air magic in time to save her friends and find her father? Or will she perish alongside them?

The Lost Witch is the first book in an urban fantasy series intended for readers ages ten and above who love Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
