i just read a story for the assignments. it is about a man who accidentally killed his father and married his mother without knowing. kinda weird hehe

noticed this recently but most male love interests or main characters have a more traumatic backstory vs the female one so characterization is way more precise/familiar to readers therefore audiences like book guys more and why the female mc is often “drier” and why certain tropes (dark haired morally grey villain or blonde sarcastic relief) almost always are guys.
