You've Reached Sam
question
Can I read this without shedding a tear?

Is this book too emotional? I can't read very emotional books because they make me depressed. Is this book suitable for me in that case?

The ending just ripped my heart out because of how heartbreaking it was. I wanted her to pick up the phone so freaking bad man.
I didn't find it as emotional as a lot of other people did. Going into this book I was prepared to sob but ended up not shedding a single tear. A lot of people find the beginning emotional but I didn't believe the same due to the fact that the tragedy happened before the reader has any emotional connection with the character. It still is an emotional read but it really depends on the person reading it.
You certainly can't read this book without shedding a tear, that's for sure. I would say it is a very emotional book and it will hurt you so good. Personally, I don't really fancy reading emotional books too but I like this one and I would definitely reread it again. I think you should try it but of course, it's all up to you :)
I was convinced that going into this I would not cry. As seen on TikTok, I've read multiple "sad" books from the app and thought this one would be another one that was sad but tearless. WRONG! I was crying before the 100-page mark. There's something about grief like this that always kicks me in the butt. But sometimes stuff like this is very simple for others. So depends if you find yourself in the more sympathetic field of things. If yes, you will cry. I cried multiple times throughout the novel and enjoyed it a lot in the end.
Um well I don't recommend reading it if there's been a recent death of a close loved one (that was my first mistake haha) It's such a good book but I was sobbing at the end...
No personally I did not shed a single tear over this book. It's not that to book is bad, it's actually pretty good. But I do think it's overhyped about how emotional it is and how you are about to get your heart ripped out if you read this. It had beautiful aspects. The story was lovely. Julie was a bit annoying and i could have let it slide if it wasn't for the flashbacks about their relationship that we got. In the flashback it seemed that Julie didn't appreciate some very much. But I guess no relationship can be perfect... still the only part which I felt was really emotional was the ending.. other than that it's a lovely story but a tad bit overhyped.
I want to say that I am a very emotional person. And when I read books, I worry too much about the characters and their stories. But this book did not cause me particular emotions, let alone tears. I had a pretty good experience with another book. I don't know if anyone has read "Mary Stuart" by Stefan Zweig. This novel about the Queen of Scots, and especially the ending, emotionally impacted me. I read the last thirty pages with tears in my eyes. It was hard to read how Mary Stuart accepted the news of her execution and prepared for it as the most important event in her life. I was so shocked that I couldn't even qualify for my classes. Therefore, I had to use online help to prepare an independent paper. I remembered the tragic story of the Scottish queen for a long time. And I was lucky that writers helped support my academic success, and I had no problems.
i cried a lot, so if you don't want an emotional book I wouldn't recommend this
I don't think that anyone could ever read this book without shedding a tear. Throughout the entire book I was crying. I was crying already crying by page 10!
