I did look at what I’d read this year but I felt almost like it would be cheating to include books I bought in December. On the other hand, I finally read the Hunger Games trilogy, all three, which I technically didn’t own myself as they belong to my son and I’m not even sure if they are still on his shelf here or if he took them with him when he moved out. I bought my copies on Audible and Kindle. I think I’m going to include them, as ‘morally’ they have way more right to count than something I bought on 26 December in an audible £1 sale (I bought a LOT of audiobooks that day😂).

I’m reading a lot of YA literature at the moment as my classes are all reading their individual choice books this term and I like to be able to discuss their books with them on a deeper level if I can. And also to be in an even better position to help next year’s groups with their choices. I have a stack of John Green’s that I have lent out without first getting round to reading myself (though I did read and enjoy The Fault in Our Stars several years ago - that was pretty much why I bought the others!). So they are higher up my list again :)

Edited to add: I am really enjoying these books, it’s not at all a trial to read them!

Thanks Em! I’m putting one of the December books on this list after all as it’s something I’d always put off reading as I thought it would be too difficult:

Stephen Hawking: Brief Answers to the Big Questions.

Since I started listening to audiobooks on my way to work I’m managing to ‘read’ so much more, its brilliant! Really enjoying it. I’m listening to a James Bond book now, narrated by David Tennant. There are some actors who I’ll listen to just because of their voice, which is really helping to broaden my reading :)

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, by Ian Fleming. This is my sixth TBR this year, does that mean I need to climb a new mountain already? 😀

Wow, just popping back to Mount Wycheproof to say I never knew Wycheproof had a mountain, even though I actually know someone who lives there. But I also know now why Bev picked it for Base Level: it’s the smallest mountain in the world! Which might explain why I didn’t know they had a mountain there I suppose 😅
