Tricia (books2hooks) | 479 comments Finished my maze, finally! Took several wrong turns - one of which took me more than 20 books to get to the end and then back again. Phew! It was super fun, though.

I would love to start again, on easy this time please. :) Thanks

Kylie Standley | 43 comments Task: Read a book shelved (listed on the first page on GR) as overdrive - plurals and spelling acceptable

What does "overdrive" mean? I found the list of books tagged overdrive but if anyone has a description of what this task entails that would be much appreciated :)

Overdrive is a service that provides downloadable books and audiobooks to libraries for patrons to check out.

This task works like every other task. Find a book with "overdrive" on the first page of tags going in the direction you want to go and read it.

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Andrea, don’t forget that if you’re going south, the four books have to meet the criteria to move south which is N-Z titles for all four books used to spell HELP or SKIP!

message 814: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (pilaryk2) | 182 comments oops, I forgot about that. I will correct the final two with my next books. thanks for reminding me ☺️

message 815: by Lory (new)

Lory | 629 comments Quick Clarifying Question:
My task is to read a book where a character has a surprising and unexpected talent.

Would it work if they've known about their talent but it is unique to them? I was looking at reading White Hot Kiss.

Otherwise, would a cozy mystery where the person who solves the case isn't a detective so their surprising and unexpected talent is solving crime?

Alyana | 1064 comments Is there like an option of not finishing my maze? I'm just overwhelmed with my challenges ( I know it's my fault, I signed up too many).

message 817: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Alyana, I’d say just stop updating it. You can always come back to it later if you change your mind!

E - Bound in Darkness - Cynthia Eden (Author) 30/9/22
L - Her Guardian Angel - Larissa Ione (Author) 2/10/22
P - Mr. Ultra Mega Love - Mimi Jean Pamfiloff (Author) 30/9/22

message 819: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Lory, I interpreted that one as meaning surprising and unexpected to the reader. So like if the tatted up motorcycle riding mechanic also happens to make perfect macarons, that’s surprising and expected to me as the reader. I’d say there is some wiggle room.

message 824: by The other Sandy (new)

The other Sandy | 282 comments Keli wrote: "So to skip one task we've got to read 4 books (either help or skip)?"

Yes, the 4 books have to spell out either HELP or SKIP, and all 4 books have to move in the direction you need to go (all 4 having an even number of pages, all 4 having titles starting with N-Z, etc.).

Sorry you're feeling overwhelmed with all the challenges. I end up going boom or bust with them too.

Absolutely just pause with the maze for as long as you need/want to. It should still be there whenever (and if) you want to come back to it.

Thanks Tricia but I have read that book already. The thing is I have Book Loves to be returned to library soon. So I thought, I will read it for this task. But it's alright. I think I will get The Virgin Romance Novelist soon from my Library.
