Ron Shaw | 759 comments Being somewhat shy I normally do not post outside of U.S. Daily Deal. Therefore if this post does not belong here, I apologize. Recently due to a book series (which became several book series) on Audible, I was drawn to soundbooththeater.com and their associated Soundbooth Theater Live Facebook group.
They are a group of "Voice Actors", Authors, Producers, and Audio Engineers lead by Jeff Hays. They make it their mission (Budget Permitting) to perform a "Full Deep Dive" on their audiobook projects which can include timed sound effects, custom music and a multi-narrator cast. Most of their projects are finished and sent to Audible however their own site has it's own App and Browser Player, and several free and "for purchase" series. Do not worry, they do NOT "double dip", if something is for purchase on the site, it will not be sent to Audible, and/or if it IS sent to audible, the do not sell it on their site.
On their Facebook group, they hang out, answer questions, schedule polls for their weekly Youtube / Facebook live events where they read sections of author's book submissions or act out parodies of Book or Movie scenes like "The Princess Bride" done as Scooby Doo and Shaggy... or the Rocky Horror Picture Show as laid back surfer dudes. They also interview authors, get audiobook reviews from experts, answer audience questions from the chat, and do fun vocal games.
The voice actors often also do RAW "cold reads" of chapters of new projects live from their personal sound booths on Youtube and / or Discord, mistakes and all.

Authors include: Neven Illiev, Carrie Summers, Matt Dinniman, Sarah King, Harlan Guthrie, and More...

Narrators include: Jeff Hays, Annie Ellicot, Gary Francis Furlong, Justin Thomas James, Will M. Watt, Andrea Parsneau, and More...

If any of this interests you, please go visit their site or the Facebook Group and ask for a Discord invite. I hope to see you there.

John | 3925 comments Great post, Ron! I've changed folders for it, as the commercial area is for those who benefit financially from steering folks to a production.

Ron Shaw | 759 comments My apologies for the mix-up John. I've made friends with the Soundbooth Theater crew, and they EVEN put up with my annoying random question posts on the Facebook group, so I wanted to help them out by making more people aware of the work they do and the Fun they have making audiobooks come to life.
