Ian had been watching Scarlett and JJ but now glanced at Katava with a raised eyebrow.

"What is it?" he asked quietly.

He shrugged, that smirk still there.

She hated that smirk...

She looked like she was ready to be sick. Really hate that he's a mindreader.

Emma looked at him. "JJ is busy. I can get a deal with Milo and then he either kills him, they kill each other, or I have one over Chase and JJ."

"Hit a nerve, I see," said JJ.

"Slow down. You're not making sense."

She nodded, speaking slower this time. "What would Chase pay to get JJ here in this condition?"

His lips twitched. "I wonder."

Emma called and waited a few seconds before Chase picked up. "I have an offer for you." She looked at JJ and back at Alberon.

Alberon leaned in so her could hear Chase's end of the conversation as well.

JJ glanced over, not liking the sound of that.

That's one way of putting it, thought Alberon wryly.

[Elizabeth]

She wanted to ask how he saw her as being anything like him but wasn't giving him the pleasure. She was trying to calm down and stop the storm.

"What's wrong?" Ian asked.

"Oh, you know, just a favor. I'll tell you when the time comes."

What's wrong?? What's wrong?! What's right? Nothing is, Katava thought.

Ian wasn't sure how to respond to that.

She took one last look around before walking away from everyone.

JJ edged away.

Scarlett moved to stop him. "You're not going anywhere."

He glared up at her.

She met his glare with one of her own. she wasn't like him.....

Emma grinned. "Excellent."

"Too scared to kill me yourself?"

"You have an annoying way of surviving every time I try."

He raised his hands. "No running away this time. Let it loose, Scar."

"Tell me how you see me as being anything like you."

He forced out a laugh. "Ooh, she wants her answers first."

[Elizabeth]

"You seemed to want .ro gloat about it before...."

"If its what's keeping me alive now, I'm holding onto it," hr said quietly. "Who did Emma call?"

"Is he coming?" Alberon asked Emma quietly.

Emma nodded, hanging up. "JJ can't leave."

"Oh, he won't."

[Elizabeth]

Scarlett glanced back in Emma's direction for a second. Part of her, a large part of her, wanted to just kill him now. After all the times she'd tried here was the perfect chance...but another part was hesitant. What did he mean?

She walked over to Scarlett.

She glanced at Emma for a moment before looking away, scowling at the ground.

JJ looked up at them, keeping the mask of calm in place.

Alberon walked over as well, looking down at him and seeing right through his outward calm.

"Not that I want to see his face anymore, you can't kill him."

"Why not?"

"Well, I won't allow it." Emma replied in a defiant tone.

"Don't let her stop you, Scar," JJ urged, smirking.

[Elizabeth]

Scarlett glared at her brother. "Shut it JJ. Unless it's to answer my question I don't want to hear another word out of your mouth."

He chuckled.

[Breanna Joy]

"You always were a bossy little brat," he continued. "Another thing like me: you like control."

[Elizabeth]

"I don't go anywhere near as far as you do for it...."

"You would kill your own brother."
