correcting series

I'm going to be reading all of the John Bude books anyway; therefore, I thought I would correct what's happening with the series. Someone tried to order the Inspector Meredith series, but then realized that books that don't even feature Meredith are included in the line-up and there's a jumble of nine books at the spot, and none numbered.

I hope, as I read the books, to order them correctly. However, how do I start that numbering?

Here are a couple suggestions (though keep in mind I haven't read these books, so i could be wrong):

1) Make two series pages, one for just Inspector Meredith, the next for the Inspector Meredith Universe. The former would be those books, in order, that contain only Inspector Meredith. The latter would be all the books from that universe, including ones without Meredith. Don't know about ordering, you'd have to be the one to fill that in. This option only works if the non-Meredith books were written in the same universe, i.e., they share characters and/or a setting.

2) If they are NOT in the same universe, remove the non-Meredith books from the Meredith series page. Start another series page for those books, if appropriate.

If you can't figure out the ordering for anything, you can leave the series unnumbered OR you could order it according to original publication date. I found a wiki article, which in turn linked to this page, which is perhaps helpful (or not):
