Eric James-Olson | 5 comments Writing with Style (ie. http://ericjamesolson.com/2015/02/18/... ) will be taking submissions of flash fiction and novel excerpts to be featured on a new type of blog post, Writing as Art. If you are a writer interested in having your short fiction or excerpts from your longer fiction read and critiqued in a public forum, please send a brief email to ejamesolson1@gmail.com . No need to pitch an idea or anything like that. Just a simple email will do. Make sure to include the following:

•Your name
•Your story or excerpt (750 words or less…less is better) pasted in the body of the email (Sorry, but I’m not opening attachments. I’m dreadfully afraid of viruses)
•Title the subject line with the word “Submission” followed by the title of your story. Like this: “Submission: Godzilla vs. Batman”

I will be responding to all submissions and I will let you know if your story has been selected. All genres are welcome, but the focus will be on the literary merit of each piece. If I decide to feature your story, I will also include a short write up with bio information and a brief critique, a great opportunity for anyone looking to increase their visibility.

So, what are waiting for? Send your story to ejamesolson1@gmail.com and check in later this week when I announce the first title to be critiqued on Writing as Art. I look forward to hearing from you!

James Calderwood | 47 comments Hi Eric We new authors seem to nee all of the help we can get.. The Opal Dragon has been asked to be sent to A South Australian movie director as i have bee writing it He has been a great help the story regarding the character Ali and Coober Pedy has really got his interest as there has not been a movie made about the rough and tumble times when 54 different nationalities were digging millions of dollars worth of opal out of the ground. I have worked in this industry and have a good memory for all of the interesting stories about some of the thieves and murderers in this town. some people came to Coober Pedy to work hard and find opal, Some came to steal it from them. Linda Kallestein (lindamayk) | 41 comments Grab this books for your childrens they'll surely love them
Baby animals are cuddly and adorable. This pictures book consists of beautiful color photographs of 10 different baby animals. Each one starts with the question of what the baby of an animal is called, to engage toddlers so they can learn a little about animals. And hopefully fall helplessly in love with them.http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Animals-Ad...

Everyone loves animals. So do we. That's why we want to share this love with kids. "The Small Mice of Homesville" is a read aloud story for young children, or an easy-reader for beginning readers.

In this picture book, beautiful color photographs of animals from all over the world are combined with the alphabet. One animal for each letter of the alphabet. Toddlers learn the alphabet in a fun way when they recognize the animals. And hopefully fall helplessly in love with them.http://www.amazon.com/Animal-Kingdom-...

Hello, I noticed that this post of yours can be found on several threads. A little tip: people will think you're spamming if the same post can be found in different places. So if I were you, I'd just post things one at a time. Readers will appreciate that more than the same post over and over again.

James Calderwood | 47 comments The Opal Dragon and Great White Shark Tales. The opal dragon story starts with a small time market trade and thief. He robs an old jeweler on his way home from work> This starts a life of crime for Ali The Dragon. Ali and his mother Zeena leave the Philippines when one of the drug cartels is chasing him to give him swimming lessons with chains around his legs. Ali ends up in Coober Pedy Australia where a lot of money is being made mining and selling opal. The dragon excels in burning people to get their hard earned money and opal. Four farmers are working hard to pay off the greedy bank to save their farms being sold to recover debt. It has been three years of drought. Written in a Bryce Courtney style.. The two groups of characters cross paths, held together by the opal trade. Murder sex and robberies follow Ali where he goes James
