Katie Cook (katco_) | 6 comments Do we have a preferred format for descriptions of fanfictions? I haven't found anything regarding this in previous threads relating to the topic of fanfiction. When editing I've usually gone with:

"[author's direct copy-paste summary/description from where the fanfiction was posted]

Fanfiction for [source material] by [source creator], [source creation date]."

Example:

"After the battle of Camlann, Arthur and Merlin must somehow come to terms with the ramifications of Merlin's secret in time to defeat Morgana and fulfill their destiny.

Fanfiction for BBC's Merlin (TV, 2008-2012)."

Are there any standards that exist that I just haven't found? Thoughts on this format? Should we include word counts, relevant relationships, etc.?
