Hi, this book showed up on my author page and it's not mine. I'm listed as an author for some reason, but I absolutely did not contribute to it. When you get a chance, could you please remove it? Thanks!Women in Deathcare: A #DeathPositive Planner and Journal

Explain that you were given an alternate profile with an extra space in your name, but it is not needed.

I think I figured some stuff out."On GR, the only way to differentiate authors with the same name is to put an extra space in the middle. This is what happened to you, but it wasn't necessary. Having them remove that space will get your books to the right profile when they are added.

I've recently shifted to become an "author" on Goodreads. I share my name with a 17th century author, Richard Sherry. I didn't write his books. The only ones that are mine are The Long Run and A Month of Sundays, both published on Amazon, the first in 2020, the second this past week. A Month of Sundays is ASIN: B0B4NKJHMR; The Long Run is ASIN: B08C9C5CN7. Can you clean the others out?

A book was removed from my author dashboard and it shouldn’t have been. This means I lost the reviews attached to it. Can you please reinstate it? It was The Glamour Spell of Rose Talbot.

That was marked as Not a book as mentioned earlier in another thread. If it is offered without any kind of login or signup, or you make it for sale on certain platforms, it could be reinstated. However there are currently no reviews associated with the book linked in that thread.

I readded the book myself and had two reviews attached to it since. Now that book is gone. I understand the logic except that I have personally added books that were similar to my to read and read list. So why is mine not being accepted? It’s like goodreads picks and chooses which authors get exceptions. If a reader wants to be able to count this story for their annual list of books read, I want them to be able to do that.

They are marked as not a book as librarians or staff come across them. If you want to address the policy, you would need to contact Goodreads directly, as we have no say in it.

Done. It will take awhile for them to disappear from your profile page due to caching, but they are not on your list of books.
