March 2022 Group Read #2 - Man, F*** This House

@Kasia: Ah, I see and wow, happy reading those chunky books! I think I'm going to read and finish this as soon as I can and try to knock out another TBR before the month is over but we'll see :-)

I can only read one novel at a time because I will easily get confused if trying to read two or more!

I'm still plodding my way through this (on page 143 of 200), and it's just driving me crazy because the potential is definitely there. It is an original take on the haunted house, I think he has two really interesting and well thought through characters in Damien and his mother, and buried under the typos, weird formatting decisions, and general lack of care is some terrific creepy, fun, and funny writing. But all in all it's a great lesson on why you should not publish your unedited first draft.

WOW, I'm really enjoying this novel so far as I'm a little over 30% in and am genuinely hooked. This is wild and my kind of horror :-D

I am having so much fun reading this, about to hit 80% as I'm genuinely loving everything and so curious as to how it ends. What a novel!

@Sally: Yes! I'm also going to do the same depending on how this ends as I'm sure it's going to be crazy. If I find a new author that gives me a 5/5 novel, I follow them on Goodreads/Amazon and start checking out their older stuff and their upcoming stuff :-)

Well- I finished it. I was entertained, but I must admit I had some major mixed feelings on this one. I did write a review here Emilie's review
But my main issue was the tone of the book did not match the title. Or at least what I thought the tone should be.

This is a new favorite of mine. It seriously went to a place I did NOT see coming but it was fun and dare I say, even whimsical at times despite the creep factor lol
