Happy first day of our first Read-a-thon of 2022!

The event runs from when you wake up on Saturday, February 19 until you go to sleep on Sunday, February 27. The goal is to read as much as you can and to have tons of fun. It's 9 full days of books and games. Feel free to participate in as few or as many games as you like.

So let’s kick off this read-a-thon with some questions, and don’t forget to keep coming back to the read-a-thon folder throughout the week to see the latest games, check in with your teammates in the team challenge, and update your tracking.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
Honestly, just want to get some reading done. I've been in a bit of a slump when it comes to print books, so I'd like to start and finish a couple here.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
My book club meets on Thursday, so I definitely want to finish In Every Mirror She's Black before then. I also want to knock out the last two February prompts with Peach Blossom Spring for Asia and *something* for Africa.

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Team Flour for me!

4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home and on my lunch break, most likely.

5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Last week of work before a week-long holiday for Mardi Gras, so it will be a busy week. Hopefully it doesn't hinder my reading time too much!

Roxana (luminate) | 775 comments 1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
I have a long list of books I still plan to miraculously finish before March, so I’m hoping this readathon really spurs me on to get plenty of reading done. To that end, “just generally finish a lot of books” is my goal, lol. And particularly Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, my current audiobook, which is a reread but also is a lot of hours of listening time for me 😂

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
Really hoping to finish The Bedlam Stacks and Get a Life, Chloe Brown in the next couple of days, and Strange & Norrell by the end of the week. And I’m excited to start A Thousand Steps Into Night, The Red Palace, and The Days of Afrekete!

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both!

4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home, probably in bed, lol. Or maybe in the backyard, there’s some gorgeous weather on the forecast.

5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
This is actually a pretty open week for me so the only obstacle should be my own easily distracted, Twitter-scrolling, candy crush-playing brain.

Sheila (sel123) | 19 comments 1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon? Awesome reading challenge. I would like to finish up the three books I've started and then get to some library books.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? Looking at some shorter books like: Leave the World Behind and The Girl Who Drank the Moon.

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? I am going to try the individual challenge: CAKES Bingo.

4. Where will you be doing most of your reading? At home and maybe the patio since the weather is so nice. It's in the 70's.

5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? TV, LOL. Hopefully this is what I need to end the month with some good reads.

Work has been so BUSY and that just leaves me desperately tired at the end of the day and all I want to do is watch people on youtube while I think "I should read that". So let's hope for more reading and less adding to the tbr.
