I finished Swann’s Way . I enjoyed the book very much, rated it 5 stars. I will definitely read it again sometime, there are many images I would like to read again and again like the image of a woman looking out of the window of her cottage to the travellers. And the description of the park way and the river.I am excited to know about the next book, which I will begin today.

And voilà! We have read Le Recherche Du Temps Perdu Vol.1 !
So what did you guys think of volume 1?
People have asked about which translation of the next volume would be good.
Ellie, since you liked the Davis translation, which is a more modern and more American translation, you might also like the Grieve translation, which is the second volume in the newest Penguin translation of Proust.
However, after reading a few reviews, it has come to my attention that many people don't actually like the Grieve translation, with criticism ranging from "too stilted" to "too silly".
There seems to be a general consensus that the Modern Library translation is the best one. I haven't read it myself, but I guess that's the one I'd also be reading.
