Clara (sophiesheridan) | 3 comments SPOILER ALERT

ok, just finished the chapter where jesper realizes he killed two grishas and it got me thinking: he asks himself why was it worse for him to be hunted as a grisha instead of as a criminal, and then immediatly thinks about his father, the way jesper wondered if his dad was afraid of him & how he was always told to hide his powers. he grew up with fear, thinking that maybe that was wrong, and then he imagines a life where he could embrace this part of himself, where he'd have a future and develop his skills.
when jesper kills the two soldiers, it's the first time he sees another grisha as a equal, like, he realizes that he is one of them and feels as if he lost a part of himself he didn't even know he had, he didn't know it was that important. just let this poor boy be happy pls

ada3f1bverde | 5 comments Yes, true, if there will be a third SoC Book I hope we’ll get to have a glimpse at Wesper and Jesper getting to know and learning his Grisha abilities. That would make him a talented sharpshooter and powerful materialki!!

Lucy Duggan | 2 comments I even think in Crooked Kingdom when one of the Khergud attacked Jesper, that was also when it hit home for him that he really is a Grisha, as most of the time he didn't feel connected to them and wouldn't associate himself when talking about them. To our knowledge, only him, his dad, his mum and Kaz knew for definite that he was Grisha before SOC, so he was never attacked or excluded because no one knew and he never used his powers, so it was easy to hide that part of himself that he was ashamed of. But the Khergud, who could literally sniff them out, he couldn't hide from them, and he had to face the fact that he is a Grisha and it's not something he can hide forever, and it's probably the first time he's ever been attacked due to being a Grisha, the only other time he's ever received any harshness towards it was from Colm. I also think when Wylan suggested that Jesper was unconsciously using his Grisha abilities to be a better sharpshooter, that also made him realise that he is a Grisha and he can't run from it, that no matter what, it will always be a part of him.Does this make any sense or am I just rambling LMAOOO. Jesper is my favourite character I could talk about him for days.
