I listened to the audio performed by Tom Hanks. So worth it to get the audio for this one!

I loved this book! Character-driven story following the lives of a brother and sister and their very dysfunctional family, and the unique house they grew up in. The house itself along with it's contents and secrets is as much a character in this story as any of the people.

Told across multiple generations, this story touches on many aspects of revenge, forgiveness and ultimately what really makes someone "family".

I agree. An excellent complex character study. And the audio was so good that I missed my turn and drove an hour out of my way - which was OK because it allowed me to finish listening to the book LOL.
