Susannah | 14 comments I believe this book was written in about the 1950s, but I could be off by a decade in either direction. Some of the language was...dated, as were some of the political ideas expressed.

I have been searching the Columbus (Ohio) Metropolitan Library online card catalog as well as searching for books about the fifth column. I have been unable to find this book, so I expect that the title is not very memorable.

I don't remember which publisher released it on CD.

I do remember checking the original publication date because of some of the concepts being quite dated. I remember seeing the publication year and thinking, "No wonder!"

I think that all the characters were male. I seem to recall one of the characters being Native American.

(Edited: changed "Nazis" to "Axis.")

SamSpayedPI | 2306 comments "PanAsians" instead of Nazis, but maybe Sixth Column (1949)? It was also published as The Day After Tomorrow.

You're right! I was considering changing this to say, "Axis," instead of, "Nazis," because I was thinking that maybe it was Asians and not Germans. I just checked the online card catalog and they do have it on audiobook, so it must be right. I just misremembered it as being, "The Fifth Column," instead of, "The Sixth Column!" Thanks so much for your help!
