Have you read them all, or does the "x" indicate "read?"

I thought I could update it as I read them and now I can't figure out how to and I can't erase the post so yes the X means read but I can't update the post

You'll se "reply | edit | delete | flag." Click "edit" and you can change the post. You'll only see this on posts of your own.
Ok I have to admit that there are a few in that list that I have not even heard of…. And that makes me extremely happy ! I have new stories to read !!!
I don't see it online or on the app. But I'm on the last chapter of misery so I can add another X if I ever figure it out
