Brody’s partner, Chet, has a meltdown when he thought the murdered owner of the mobile home Mick and Sam took over was his missing daughter. Did Brody do the right thing in being honest about Chet’s state of mind? Is this typical behavior within police forces?

Lynn (ftbooklover) He definitely did the right thing. He talked about how his partner in Boston froze during a robbery and the problems it caused, so Brody knew he couldn't continue with a partner who might not be able to have his back in a dangerous situation. Also, it was dangerous for Chet to be on the job and drinking. Who knows what problems that could lead to.
I'm not sure how typical that behavior would be on a real police force.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I agree - I think Brody did the right thing. Chet was not in a good head space about his daughter and then add in his drinking - not a good combo.

I agree Brody did the right thing and believe his fellow officers and detectives supported him because Chet wasn’t fit and represented a danger to them. He was going to get his partner, or someone else killed.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I agree. You would have thought by this stage though that someone higher up would have put Chet on some sort of mental health leave. Or early retirement. He was an accident waiting to happen and a danger to his colleagues and the general public. It would have been difficult for Brody though being the person who finally spoke up.
