When Hannah attempted to rescue Jewel, should she have been more concerned about Mick getting retribution? Were you surprised he came after her? Why do you think he was so hellbent?

Lynn (ftbooklover) I was not surprised that he came after her, but as a story element, not as something someone in real life might do. I do think that she should have been more concerned, especially since she knew he had her address.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Considering he had her information, yes, I think she should've been concerned about him. I also thought she should've told her brother when she got back to Scarlet Falls. I agree with Lynn don't think in real life someone would drive across the country in this situation.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree with you, but perhaps in the real world of human trafficking, someone might put a vendetta out on her to some hitman in her area.

You’d have to know something about Mick to have believed he’d go to such lengths to get back at Hannah. She had no reason to believe he’d travel from Las Vegas all the way to New York!

Once I learned more about him, I wasn’t surprised at his actions. The idea that a woman bested him, especially a woman like Hannah who was out of his league, ate him up.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I'm sure someone travelling thousand of miles for retribution would have been the last thing on Hannah's mind at the time. As a plot device it did seem over the top but I agree with Jonetta. That sort of man couldn't stand the fact that in his mind a woman like Hannah had "beat" him. He focused all his insecurities and many characters flaws and got fixated on her and bringing her down.
