When Hannah was at the Carnival club in Las Vegas, she wasn’t put off by the owner, Herb Fletcher. Were you? Should she have been?

message 2: by Susan (new)

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments I think Hannah was put off by Herb especially when he patted the women's ass as she walked away.

Lynn (ftbooklover) It sounded to me like she had seen so much of that kind of behavior from him, that it was just expected, but I did get the feeling that she didn't like it.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I felt that she was put off by him - but there was so much going on in the club and I thought he was the client. So, the devil you have to put up with for the job. Felt like she ignored it to just get her job done and on her way.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I got the impression the second time through that Hannah was burnt out with her family's recent tragedy and that this, though awful, hardly registered on her radar -- oh, it was icky all right, but he was still seeming to treat her with respect, compared to her direct boss who was there.

When I first read this, I’d just finished watching a couple of the Jeffrey Epstein episodes so, yeah, I was quite put out. Perhaps my perspective was a bit biased.

I keep thinking that the reason human trafficking is so rampant is because powerful men like Herb protect the other powerful men who use these girls. Today, I think I’d be seriously put off.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Agree with all your comments. I'm sure Hannah was aware and didn't like it but unfortunately she was probably used to getting hit on and at that point in her life she just ignored it. As has been mentioned she had to deal with her Boss seeming to want more than a professional relationship and she was burnt out by her family tragedy as well.
