5.7 - The Flying Monkeys
Read a book with a living creature with wings showing on the cover. For purposes of this task, angels, demons, fantasy creatures/animals will work. The wings must be obviously shown on the cover.
REQUIRED: Post the cover in your post.

Bea I'm assuming natural animals like birds and butterflies would work as well as fantasy creatures.

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) Seeking approval for this one please. The wing, tail feathers and feet are there but the rest of the bird isn't.

I'm sorry, this won't work - the task calls for "a living creature with wings," not just a wing.

yes, the body and the wing is visible

Karen Michele Burns (klibrary) | 2062 comments What do you think of this one? The bird is whole and you can see the head and the wing, but a part of the body is behind the other design on the cover. Enlarging the cover works best for seeing this strange fantasy-type bird.

I'm sorry, but even with enlarging, this does not clearly show a living creature with a wing

Julia (julia103) | 2714 comments Does Beyond (The Founding of Valdemar #1) by Mercedes Lackey work? The flag on the right and the tunic that the boy on the left is wearing both have the image of a horse with wings. (Since it's a picture on cloth does it still count as a "living creature"?)

Thanks for the quick response, Sandy. With the inclusion of fantasy creatures I wasn't sure how rigid the definition of living was meant to be and appreciate the clarification.

I'm sorry, but it's not at all clear that this is a living creature (as opposed to a painting of a part of a creature).
