I couldn't find where to add it when I originally set the book up, and now I'm not authorized to add it.

for future reference, it's not something you missed when adding the book. Goodreads Authors cannot add books to series. You'll always need to make a request in this group.

But as long as you continue to link to the book and the series, as you so helpfully did this time, it's a quick change for a Goodreads Librarian to make.
