To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

It's the first book in the series... there are no other books in the series?

They will be coming out later this year and next year.... 😭 what is there to compare to right now? They will all be branching off the same world with characters.

Shelby, since you are the author we just needed confirmation that it will have shared characters/be set in the same world. Sometimes we get books that have the same theme (ie retold fairy tales), but don't have anything else in common.
