My instinct is yes as the river is the focus of the picture part - but I am checking with mods to make sure :)

Katrisa | 1396 comments Tien wrote: "For option 3, could I please lock in MPG Horror for Girl 4? Ta!"

Horror noted!

message 54: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 1396 comments Fly, Andy and Tien for some reason my answers to you are showing up on my phone but not my laptop. I want to make sure you get answers so I am going to answer again just in case :/

Fly - your book will work

Andy - a conditional yes - I want to say yes because the river is the focus of the picture part of the cover, but I am checking with the mods to make sure

Tien - Horror noted!

You're good! I'll add this to the approved list

Deedee | 2344 comments Hi - can I lock in The Actual Star for Option #5 Genre-Bending? as of March 7, 2022, it is on page 4 of the Genre Bending Books List.

Thanks, It is a good book and the water does play a role but long.
Andy

Question 1: I want to make sure I understand option 4. I can read a book with the word 'WIND' in the title because the 13th book in the Dune series is named 'The Winds of Dune'. Is this correct?

Question 2: Would this book count for option 2?
Bounty (Colorado Mountain, #7) by Kristen Ashley

message 63: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 1396 comments KmarieD- yes you can read a book with wind in the title as either the singular or plural forms of any of the words will work.
And yes you may use Bounty for option 2.

message 64: by Aprilleigh (new)

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 1261 comments Will either of these covers work for option 2? They both depict shoreline with water.

An Inquiry Into Love and Death by Simone St. James or Silence for the Dead by Simone St. James

message 65: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 1396 comments Aprilleigh, the second one works for sure. I can't really say about the first one right now because I'm on the road with no internet other than my phone which only opens a small or blurry cover picture. I'll check it tomorrow when I can get on my laptop

Thanks for waiting until I could get home and check out the book cover better - I think that An Inquiry Into Love and Death has the water as too much of a background feature to work for this task. But Silence for the Dead works

Yes that will work! Prequels are fine as long as they are written after the original author died

Thank you! I got ready to post for points, and then second guessed myself and got confused LOL which isn't hard for me to do : ) So I thought I would just make sure.

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 1261 comments I ended up using that book (from post #64) for another task and decided to go back to my original thought, which was to reread the first two (publication order) Dune books for options 4 and 6 (my edition of Dune also meets the 500+ page requirement).

message 75: by Katrisa (new)

Option 2... please verify this one. The ocean is behind the castle, below the moon and is orangish and hard to see.

I don't think it is clear that that is an ocean - even in the larger cover. It could just as easily be clouds

I would make the case that the line is too straight and is an horizon.
Does that make any more sense?
Please let me know again and I'll abide by it; I wasn't expecting that the copy I would get had this cover. The main edition cover has an easily seen sea.

It's iffy in that the cover should speak for itself - however in the other cover that same castle is clearly on the coast so I will accept that the orange is an ocean and not a cloud bank

The task was changed from 50% to having a natural body of water - so you're good for that one!
