SOLVED. Anthology of Romance short stories where each one had a character with a health problem. Spoilers ahead.

I remember reading a book of short romance stories that all seemed to include a character with a health problem. There was one about a janitor (I think, definitely some type of hospital worker) who falls in love with a patient awaiting a heart transplant and at the end the janitor dies and gives his heart to the patient. There was another short story about someone allergic to the sun and they could only go outside at night.. I think another one involved an Amish teen who was hospitalized.

Omg you are my hero!!! I'm pretty sure this was it! I don't think "How Do I Love Thee" has the story with the Amish character but it looks like Lurlene McDaniel has a written many books and I remember getting a few by the same author. Thank you!!

Yes! I’m pretty sure I read that one too. I remember thinking it was cool that there was a character with my name even though it’s spelled differently.
